Theatre in the Mountains
Updated COVID-19 Health and Safety Guidelines
Fall 2022
Theatre in the Mountains (TIM) always strives to provide a safe and healthy environment for all participants, staff, and volunteers. In order to maintain this environment during coronavirus, TIM rehearsals and performances will, at a minimum, follow county, state, and LPJUSD guidelines in rehearsals and during performances. Additional requirements have been determined to further protect our theater and mountain communities.
Below is a summary of health and safety protocols and requirements for the Fall 2022 production:
All participants and staff members are required to be fully vaccinated, as defined by the CDC.
All on-site volunteers are required to be fully vaccinated, as defined by the CDC. This includes rehearsal supervision, performance weekend jobs, set building workshops, or any other volunteer job that is not performed off-site and away from the cast, staff, or other volunteers.
In the event of a rise in COVID cases, participants, staff, and volunteers may be required to wear masks during rehearsals.
Families are required to report any COVID-19 positive cases within their households to the production team.
If a performer tests positive for COVID during mandatory Tech Week rehearsals, they will not be able to return to the show. No refunds will be given.
Participants who are sick are required to stay home, participants who test positive for COVID must complete the required quarantine period and obtain a negative test before returning to rehearsals.
If a participant exhibits symptoms consistent with COVID at rehearsals, they will be separated from the group and their parents will be contacted immediately to pick up the participant.
TIM will minimize shared items including props and make-up.
Tech Week and Performance Weekend Guidelines:
Performers may be required to wear masks to wear masks while backstage during the performance.
If a performer would like to mask while performing onstage they must wear the TIM approved theater shield mask and disclose the desire to wear a mask during registration. No exceptions.
All cast members, Artistic Staff, Tech Staff, and Volunteers may be tested by TIM or expected to take a Rapid Antigen test prior to or at the beginning of Tech Week. Specific date/time to be determined by the production team.
All participants and guardians are required to acknowledge their understanding of the plan outlined above by checking off the COVID Health and Safety Waiver during registration. Specific questions should be directed to TIM Steering Committee Chair, Jennifer Daniher, at jennifer.daniher@gmail.com.
If necessary, we will adjust or amend these guidelines to comply with updated safety protocols.
Thank you for keeping our community healthy,
